Plumes are generated when the transducer is
pointed upwards, towards the water's surface.
The leftmost photo is of the Sonochemist in
operation. The other three are of the Pulsar
set on maximum power, with WIDTH and
REP both set to three. These three are of a
one kilowatt (acoustic) pulse striking the air-
water interface.

This vessel has been modified to have a small
funnel at the focus zone. This way, the fluid
escaping (which is often shot out due to the
radiation pressure) has been exposed to the
maximum level of ultrasound. It can be
collected as a "first pass" sample, and exposed
again and again in "multiple pass" experiments.

This is a large vessel, with a 5 inch inside diameter.
It can accommodate as many as four Sonochemists
working together. It can be used when a process
demands more ultrasonic power.
